It’s the time of year as we here at BREWPUBLIC celebrate our anniversary with our annual Killer Beer Week from October 20-29, 2017. As BREWPUBLIC turns 10 years old next year, we bring you, our devoted readers, 10 days of Killer Beer Week to close out our ninth year.
PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Fresh Hops Fest, a celebration of the Oregon hop harvest that annually takes place between mid-August and mid-September, features more than 60 Oregon craft beers made with hops freshly picked off the vine and used within hours of harvesting. The 14th annual event will take place Sept. 29 through 30 at Oaks Amusement Park, 7805 SE Oaks Park Way. Hours are 5pm to 9pm on Friday and 12pm to 8pm on Saturday.
Ecliptic Brewing was opened based on Owner and Brewmaster John Harris’ two passions: brewing and astronomy. As the total solar eclipse in Oregon approaches, it is only fitting that Harris’ space brewery is celebrating the big day with an eclipse themed beer and special events.
The Oregon Brewers Festival is back for its 30th year. Although the festival started this past Wednesday it runs through Sunday at Tom McCall Waterfront Park. On Wednesday along with 600 of my fellow beer friends I marched in the Brewer's Parade to the festival. The parade was led by grand marshals John DeBenedetti and Mike Moscarelli of F.H. Steinbart Co., a local home brewing supplies store, and institution. Once we arrived at the festival they tapped the ceremonial keg of beer, this year an IPA from Hopworks Urban Brewery.
An estimated 80,000 people will flock to Portland’s Tom McCall Waterfront Park in less than two weeks for the 30th annual Oregon Brewers Festival. The milestone event will take place July 26 through July 30; hours are Noon to 9pm Wednesday through Saturday, and Noon to 7pmSunday.
The Portland Craft Beer Festival is back with over 70 breweries at Fields Neighborhood Park in Portland's Pearl District. Enjoy more than just beer with a selection of wines, ciders, and food. The festival runs from Friday, June 30th until Sunday, July 2nd, 2017. Tickets start at $25 and include a mug and 15 beer tasting tickets online. At the door, $25 gets you a mug and 10 beer tasting tickets.
